Renovation, intervention, and interior design.
This project is a smaller renovation and intervention of an apartment on Øresundsvej in Copenhagen. The smaller bedroom is turned into a dedicated office space with an integrated home office and storage space.
The long desk opens up to comfort and flexibility in different types of activities, from being a home office, study area and creative workshop. The long desk also consists of several bases with room for storage in drawers. The open shelves along the room allows storage but also becomes a great part of the spatiality as it adds depth and weight to an otherwise bright room. In order to keep the budget limited and a sense of unity in the space, the design is based on a modular system with frames from IKEA.
The existing bedroom consists of white painted walls and wooden floors, in order to create depth, tactility and contrast in the space the color palette for the integrated office space is following an earthy color scheme.
